Job Description LITS is seeking to hire for the Fall 2025 semester one student as Digital Scholarship Project Assistant (DSPA) to collaborate with the Tri-Co Philly Course ITAL B240 “Philadelphia the Global City: The Italian Legacy across Time” (Professor Luca Zipoli). The DSPA will work as collaborator to both the students and the instructor to help the class design an online, interactive, digital, and multimedia map of the Italian Legacy in Philadelphia that will constitute a major part of the final outcomes of the course. The DSPA will be responsible for adding and editing content on a CollectionBuilder website with an interactive map and collaborating on the design of the website. Training in web development skills and languages (HTML, Markdown, YAML) will be provided by LITS staff, with opportunity to delve deeper into specific aspects of web design and development, if desired. The DSPA will help students in the class contribute content related to their individual projects and will edit the final results to create an attractive, user-friendly website with the broad aim of enhancing the knowledge and understanding of Philadelphia’s diverse cultural heritage. Knowledge of Italian desirable but not required.
