Job Description Funded by alumna Denise Lee Hurley ’82, the Alumnae/i Relations and Development (ARD) team is seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and thoughtful current juniors or seniors to serve as Student Ambassadors over the duration of the academic year. In this paid role, you’ll play an important part in building and strengthening meaningful connections between current students and the College’s alumnae/i, volunteers, and donors. Your voice and experiences will help tell the story of life on campus today, while expressing gratitude to those who help to make it possible. This high-visibility campus role is perfect for students who seek to add a prestigious pre-professional credential to their resumes and who are passionate about community, communication, and making a meaningful impact—without the typical time commitment of a work study job. Your work may include: • Handwriting personalized correspondence or thank-you notes to donors and constituents • Participating in or collecting testimonials about student experiences (internships, research, campus life, study abroad, etc.) • Making outreach or thank-you calls to donors, volunteers, and key constituents • Capturing, creating, editing, and participating in video content to be used in constituent outreach • Supporting and attending ARD-sponsored events on and off campus Why Join Us? This is more than a campus job—it’s a chance to help create lifelong connections between generations of alumnae/i that sustain and support the College. You'll build your skills in communication, public speaking, storytelling, and event participation, all while connecting with a passionate community of alumnae/i. ARD Student Ambassadors will work alongside staff members who have spent decades in non-profit and higher education settings and who are eager to offer insight into career planning if you are considering similar career paths. How to Apply Please send your current resume to cwilson2@brynmawr.edu in addition to answering the following prompts in a few sentences. Interviews with ARD staff will follow in September. Prompts: • What has been your favorite course at Bryn Mawr and how has it shaped your overall Bryn Mawr experience? • What does Bryn Mawr mean to you?
Job Requirements We’re looking for students who are: • Current juniors or seniors • Strong communicators, both in writing and speaking • Comfortable representing the student experience authentically and positively • Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision • Interested in learning more about philanthropy, alumnae/i engagement, or non-profit work • Willing to engage in a variety of outreach activities, sometimes in person or on camera
