Job Description |
We are inviting applications for a Graduate Research Assistant to join an interdisciplinary research team exploring the impact of Trauma-Informed Design (TID) and Design for Dignity (DD) on equity outcomes. The project seeks to evaluate design practices that prioritize dignity, safety, and well-being in marginalized communities, and assess how effectively these approaches advance equity according to established frameworks. The assistant will play a crucial role in data collection, analysis, and the development of the final research deliverables.
Responsibilities:
• Perform extensive literature reviews on TID, DD, equity theories, and systemic inequities.
• Assist with the conceptualization and development of an equity-focused framework for assessing design practices.
• Conduct qualitative analysis of case studies, including reviewing project outcomes and their alignment with equity goals.
• Contribute to manuscript drafting, presenting research findings, and developing recommendations for future directions.
• Collaborate in research meetings and assist in coordinating project timelines.

Job Requirements |
Must be:
• Enrollment in a graduate social work program (MSS or PhD).
• Experience or interest in equity-focused research, design practices, and trauma-informed approaches.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to write clearly and analyze complex information.
• Commitment to advancing equity and social justice through research.
