Job Description |
Graduate student assistant will help with cataloging 17th through 21st-century rare, old, and children's books in Special Collections. The employee will learn the basics of book cataloging, including identifying books in international catalogs, preparing records according to accepted standards, assigning call numbers, and creating the records that will appear for public use in Tripod.
This is an eight to ten week internship, with the employee working at least 20 and up to 35 hours a week. Dates for the internship are between June 3 and August 9; slight adjustments to that time frame are negotiable. This internship prepares the employee for possible continued employment cataloging in Special Collections after the summer.

Job Requirements |
Open to Bryn Mawr graduate students who are interested in working with historical and cultural collections. Experience working with rare books, manuscript materials, or other original materials is desired, but not required. |
