Job Description Education Talks (EdTalks) are similar to TA sessions that other departments may host, but they are more focused on navigating students’ experiences in Internship classrooms and settings rather than in their college education classes. EdTalks are meant to provide a space where students can ask questions about and discuss their experiences with other education students that may be having similar concerns or who are curious about the variety of education-related environments available in the area. EdTalks are led by a Facilitator -- often an education student who has been through a few Internships or placements -- who guides discussion, answers questions, and designs activities for each session. Activities and topics vary from week to week based on student interest, but EdTalks commonly address goals for student visits, how to keep open communication with the host teacher/mentor, connections between visits and classroom content, etc.
