Job Description |
The Graduate Teaching Assistant will work as a small group facilitator within the CONNECT program designed for first-year students in the MSS program at the GSSWSR. Teaching assistants will meet with a small cohort (12-15 students) monthly and will implement a structured curriculum and facilitate group discussion. Teaching assistants will also participate in new student orientation at the end of August prior to the start of classes and once per month curricular planning meetings during the academic year, which incorporate trainings as well as reflective discussion. All teaching assistants will work with GSSWSR staff responsible for the CONNECT program. |
Job Requirements |
Must be a PhD student in either the GSSWSR or GSAS. Good communication and group facilitation skills. Interested in developing pedagogy in work with small groups. Reliable and dependable. Must be available during orientation in August 2023. Some weekend and evening hours may be required. Facility with technology such as Moodle and ZOOM is preferred. |
