Job Description |
Continuing Bryn Mawr College students are invited to apply for up to six summer Digital Technology Internships.
Through the Career and Civic Engagement Center's Summer Internship Partner Program, LITS hosts several 10-week, full-time paid summer internships that enable undergraduates to develop their digital competencies while working with Bryn Mawr faculty and staff on projects that support the College's educational programs and mission. Projects can include developing documentation and training materials for digital technologies and campus resources, developing instructional or informational videos, helping with website administration, design and production, and helping faculty develop and publish digital course materials as open educational resources. The application is posted and accepted through Handshake [https://brynmawr.joinhandshake.com/edu/jobs/8688669] and is due by March 8, 2024.
Summer digital interns will gain experience in areas such as project management and assessment, web design, database management, audiovisual production, curricular design and working with clients. The internships are an excellent opportunity for anyone considering a career in education, instructional design, library and information science, web/multimedia design and production, or software development. Opportunities for continuing academic-year employment may be available to former digital curricular interns as well.
Interns will be hired by Library and Information Technology Services and work with teams of faculty and educational technology staff. They are expected to work full-time (35 hours per week) for 10 weeks on campus, primarily during normal college working hours (i.e., between 9am and 5pm).
The internship carries a stipend of $4300 paid in 5 biweekly installments. Interns are responsible for finding and paying for their own summer housing. For information about summer housing on campus see: http://www.brynmawr.edu/conferences/summercollege/sumhousing.htm
