Job Description The Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research (GSSWSR) of Bryn Mawr College has a 12-17 hour per week graduate assistantship position available in communications and marketing. This position will contribute to communications designed to inform external audiences as well as internal students, staff and faculty about relevant news and information. The role would involve website content maintenance, social media posting and monitoring, creating and sending email newsletters, drafting news articles and other copy (e.g. publications, social media posts, other website content,) coordinating visual elements like photography, video and graphic design with other Bryn Mawr College staff, and working with school staff, students and faculty on developing ideas for content. Collaboration with the Office of College Communications to execute all creative projects will be required, as will adherence to all college branding. This position will contribute to a social media strategy for the school and manage the school’s official social media accounts in accordance with best practices. The incumbent will attend workshops, classes and other relevant presentations to gather information that will inform projects. Other related duties will be assigned. The position will work through summer 2024 and continue into the next academic year of 2024-2025. Job Requirements Experience with creating social media posts on behalf of someone else/an institution, Drupal or another website content management system, and journalism writing preferred. This position will be expected to work from an office located at the GSSWSR building at least 50% of each week’s hours and can work up to 50% remotely. Must be a graduate student.
